The existing infrastructure for business support services in Liberia is insufficient, resulting in limited access to essential resources and assistance for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This inadequacy hampers the ability of businesses to thrive and expand, hindering economic progress and development.
MSMEs, which form the backbone of Liberia's economy, often face barriers in accessing crucial services such as financial management, business development support, and professional training. The absence of tailored support mechanisms tailored to the unique needs of these enterprises stifles their growth potential and contributes to a cycle of stagnation.
The youth population in Liberia faces significant challenges in securing meaningful employment opportunities. Despite possessing potential and ambition, many young individuals encounter obstacles such as lack of skills, limited job prospects, and insufficient support networks, leading to high unemployment rates and underutilization of human capital.
